With a whopping 13 brands riding on her, Kareena Kapoor - the only actress to stand exclusive in a male dominated industry, remains unmoved with labels of being “the best” or “the most sought after”.
Says Kareena “I don’t put a value to my worth. I’m not a product you can pick off the shelf. I have always been selective about what I endorse and the work I do. And I have always been exclusive.”

Kareena Kapoor refuses item song in “Houseful”
Actress Kareena Kapoor has a special bond with producer Sajid Nadiadwala and she was the star attraction in his film “Kambakkt Ishq”. This film has a great opening but its subsequent run has not been encouraging at the box office.
Sajid even gifted a special Rs 8 Lakhs costume designed in Paris to Kareena for a song in “Kambakkt Ishq”. He however faced an embarrassing situation when Kareena refused his offer for an item song in his upcoming film “Houseful” which features Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.
Karrena’s objection seems to be that she is too senior and a top rung artiste to do an item number in a film where Deepika, a relatively junior in Bollywood is playing the lead. Sajid is said to be so sure of Kareena agreeing for the item song that he is reported to be very upset.
Sajid is said to be scouting for Priyanka Chopra to do the special item song.
Kareena Kapoor gets costume worth Rs 8 Lakhs
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is known for his lavish production values. He is now making the film Kambakkht Ishq where Akshay Kumar plays the role of a Hollywood stuntman and Kareena Kapoor as a supermodel.
For one song producer Sajid ordered for a special dress for Kareena from a well known fashion designing house of Paris. The dress cost Rs 8,00,000.
After the song is canned, where Kareena appears stunningly beautiful wearing her Rs 8 Lakh costume, Sajid gifted the dress to the actress.
The star cast of Kambakkht Ishq includes Hollywood stars Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards. The film is directed by Sabir Khan.

Kareena Kapoor fumes on 'nude' query

Kareena Kapoor was in Delhi to promote her upcoming film ‘Kambakht Ishq’.

New Delhi media was in for a shock as Kareena Kapoor staged a walk out of a press conference in the city where she was present to promote her upcoming film ‘Kambakht Ishq’. Visibly upset and fuming with anger, she marched towards her suite when a female reporter questioned her if she would be willing to go totally nude for camera if the script demanded so. Informs an onlooker who was present at the venue, "The question shocked her. Just a few minutes back, she had patiently handled queries regarding her professional life. She had also commented around wearing a bikini in ‘Tashan’ and now ‘Kambakht Ishq’ mainly because the 'script demanded it'. Though averse to doing so in future projects, she admitted that she would keep the subject and story in mind and would do 'anything' that is required by the script."
Though it was a diplomatic stand on affairs, things went a little too far when an over zealous reporter popped the question - 'Would you mind going nude for a role?' "This was it", adds the source, "Kareena lost her cool at that very moment and rather than choosing to blast the reporter and create a scene, she simply aborted her stay at the press conference. The flabbergasted reporter didn't know what hit her. The event coordinator too felt disgusted about the entire incident and found himself in trouble as this situation was totally unforeseen."
The source continues, "There were problems for Kareena from the very beginning of the event. First and foremost the chosen venue itself wasn't conducive enough to handle a large media that had assembled. Around 100 odd reporters and journalists had gathered in a room that wasn't large enough to host a mega celebrity press conference like this. With the claustrophobic venue not helping the cause enough, queries like these were enough for Kareena to blow her fuse."
For media and the film, director Sabbir Khan came to rescue though. He handled the situation well by staying on at the venue and continued to interact with the reporters. "Yes, Kareena was justified in walking out but Sabbir too did all to ensure that promotion of ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ didn't get impacted", says a fellow reporter, "He realises that the film is just a few days away and didn't want any bad blood to spoil the show. Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor accompanied Saif Ali Khan despite not keeping too well, according to reports. As soon as Bebo returned from the shooting of her film Ra.1 with SRK in Goa, she joined boyfriend Saif Ali Khan to take a flight to Delhi where she attended the Padma Shri awards last night (7th April 2010). Kareena Kapoor is peeved that certain sections of the media are going to town over the fact that she was spotted exchanging pleasantries with Shahid Kapoor at a recent award show and then at filmmaker Karan Johar’s party. “It’s probably the 10th time we’ve spoken. But even after four years people still feel the need to write about it. It’s unfair since we’ve moved on. He may be in another relationship now and I’m with Saif (beau Saif Ali Khan) who knows that I will always wish Shahid well.”

Kareena is particularly excited to have signed up another film with her idol Aamir Khan. She admits that at one point she almost believed she’d lost the Zoya Akhtar movie because the dates were not working out. “I don’t have even an hour to spare for the next year but Salman (Bodyguard) and Karan (producer of Short Term Shaadi) were very accommodating and I’m looking forward to working with Aamir and Rani (Mukerji), whose crackling chemistry in Ghulam had mesmerised me,” she says, adding that the dhokla-fefda drunken scene in 3 Idiots is one of her best scenes ever, and she has Aamir to thank for it.

“He was always ready with suggestions. All the Khans are team players. Saif gets magazine cuttings for Sriram (Agent Vinod director Sriram Raghavan) to mould my look and he discusses my clothes with Aki Narula. And Shah Rukh wants me to look gorgeous in RA.One.”

Is there talk of another film with SRK? Says Kareena, “The next eight months are really busy. If I sign any more films, my family and Saif will forget me. And I will have to Xerox myself and distribute the copies amongst my producers.”

The actor has just returned from a rejuvenating break and is ready to start another hectic year. Bringing in the New Year with beau Saif has become an annual ritual now, after a Christmas spent with his kids and their families. “I love Gstaad…The snow, the food, the people and the tranquility. I guess, there’s a bit of Europe in both Saif and me. That’s why we keep going back to this way-out Swiss town. I’ve grown up in the film world but sometimes it’s nice to go someplace where no one talks about Bollywood movies or music,” she sighs, adding that Saif and she have learnt to enjoy reading, skiing or just talking. “We’ve also made a pact to meet every 10 days.”

Actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are said to be angry & upset with actor Ajay Devgn for having portrayed them as buffoonish cartoons in his next film, Toonpur Ka Superhero.

In Toonpur Ka Superhero, there's a scene where Ajay Devgan is shown shooting for his film Omkara - which also starred Saif and Kareena and their characters have been portrayed in a comic manner.

A source from Toonpur Ka Superhero, which releases next week, said, "In the film Ajay plays himself, a big star, who turns into a superhero for his son. There's a scene where he's shown shooting for his film Omkara (which also starred Saif and Kareena).They are part of the scene but their characters have been portrayed in a comic manner. Saif is seen sporting a tattoo of Kareena on his left forearm as he does in real life even though during Omkara, Saif and Kareena were not dating each other and neither did Saif have any tattoo. It was Ajay's idea to incorporate some fun elements into the film and make it topical."

The source said that Saif's tattoo was spoofed in the film Golmaal 3. "In Toonpur too, Ajay's character is seen making fun of Saif, his tattoo and his love for Kareena while Kareena's character is a hot chick who is trying to seduce Ajay.

Saif's character is seen sporting sidelocks and goatee, the look Saif had a few months ago." The source said these cartoons and their portrayal have upset Kareena and Saif.

"The couple were clueless about their caricatures as nobody had informed them about it.

But when someone who saw Toonpur last Wednesday told them about it they were shocked! Kareena and Ajay have worked together in the recently released super hit Golmaal 3 and Kareena had expected Ajay to tell her about it.

Even Saif, who considers Ajay a buddy and has worked with Toonpur producer Kumar Mangat Pathak in Omkara, is hurt that nobody bothered to tell him.

Right now the couple are keeping quiet. They want to watch the film and then react." Producer Kumar Mangat, Saif and Kareena remained unavailable for comment.
